I rebooted my computer this morning because it was locked up on a game and got an error message that stated something about "WINDOWSSYSTEM32CONFIGSYSTEM" repair this file by starting windows setup using original setup cd-rom and something about CHKDSk /F

Can't get safe mode to work, safe mode with command prompt won't work, last known good configuration won't work.

Changed startup to go from the disk. Then I tried running the setup disk and got the blue screen of death just as the setup disk finished loading.

NOW WHAT?!?

My life is on that computer and I haven't backed anything up yet, my intent was to run malwarebytes for possible viruses, but I guess it already got me.

I need to fix this NOW and I have two hours to complete it.

Desperate!!

Did I mention it's Windows XP and I know very little about computers so talk to me like a five year old?

Blue screen gave me:

*** STOP: 0x00000073 (0xF78E2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

It's a desktop and "specs" is Greek to me. Sometimes I can follow along with what y'all are talking bout, but most times, not. I managed to somehow get around the blue screen and got a command prompt that would only allow me in C:\WINDOWS, but when I exited from there and rebooted, my computer came back like magic.

NOW I have this error that keeps popping up every time I try to do anything saying something about debug/close and when I hit the "click here" I get:

AppName: explorer.exe
AppVer:6.0.2900.5512
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.5755
Offset: 00037838

and then things shut down. I have Kaspersky AND Malwarebytes why is this happening?!?
