Ok, so I'm headed off to college and decided to restore my mom's laptop. I put in the "Toshiba Recovery Media Satellite L300D Series" and attempted to do a recovery, but ended up getting a variety of errors in the process. (Tried this a number of times)I called the Toshiba techs and they believed that it was a hard drive failure. I found this hard to believe since there wasn't anything really wrong with the computer in the first place. So I buy an enclosure, and spend about 4 hours formatting the 250gig hard drive (from my desktop). So I try once again but it failed. I even downloaded a "Windows Vista Recovery System" but got another error message saying that there was a missing system file. Please help me, as I am leaving for college in less than 48 hours

What errors are you getting? Can you list them all, as they will better assist us in helping you?
