In am trying to get foxfire to open the browser window. When I click on it you can see it in processes and not applications. I can end the process. The IE browser will open the browser window and not show any pages or display a different url when typing it in url bar. I am able to open safari and get access to the internet that way. I removed both firefox and ie reloading them after rebooting to see if that would work. It did not matter. I ran mcafee virus scan and it came up empty. I ran the makwarebytes and was not successful there either. The browser was working before I used quicktime yesterday. Do not know if that was the cause of the problem. Need help to get this to work again.

Have you tried in safe mode? I assume by "malwarbytes was not successful" that you where able to run a full scan after updating it?

Please answer the second question:

I assume by "malwarbytes was not successful" that you where able to run a full scan after updating it?
