Do i need sandboxie. i heard that 64bit doesn't need a sand boxing programs because its not necessary or it will conflict or something.
but i want my PC to be safe , but i also don't want my OS to crash because of sand-boxing programs...

so should i just have:
windows firewall,Avast and Threat fire with no:
sandboxie or PC Tools Firewall Plus??

i need my computer really safe and i cannot afford a new laptop anytime soon.

Sandboxie is not compatible with a 64 bit OS. Edited (see below)

A 64bit OS is still quite vulnerable to a malware infection. Your computer is only as safe as your internet practices!!

- Avoid gaming sites, pirated software, cracking tools, keygens, and peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing programs.

- They are a security risk which can make your computer susceptible to a smörgåsbord of malware infections, remote attacks, exposure of personal information, and identity theft. Many malicious worms and Trojans spread across P2P file sharing networks, gaming and underground sites.

- Users visiting such pages may see innocuous-looking banner ads containing code which can trigger pop-up ads and malicious Flash ads that install viruses, Trojans and spyware. Ads are a target for hackers because they offer a stealthy way to distribute malware to a wide range of Internet users.

- The best way to reduce the risk of infection is to avoid these types of web sites and not use any P2P applications. Read P2P Software User Advisories and Risks of File-Sharing Technology.

With that said an Antivirus application and Antispyware application will suffice along with a firewall and safe internet practices.

Kind regards,
~t

My friend RedDawn brought to myattention that there is indeed a 64 bit version of one of my most favorite programs in the world.

Thanks RedDawnPosted Image
