I get the following error when booting XP even though IE is not running. It sits right there on the desktop till clicked:

"Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Line: 1

Char: 1

Error: Syntax error

Code: 0

URL: hxxp://count.zcominc.com/link/count.php?id=948oct=1

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Yes/No"

I have run a scan with Spybot S&D & also disabled script debugging, both IE & other. The thing is I use Chrome & never IE?

Do you use, or have you used in the past, a program called Flashget?

Ah, yes! I use it as a download manager.

One possible solution:

"In Flashget, go to:

View/Recommendation

and uncheck it.

Obviously, the ads displayed by flashget are generating an internet explorer script error. I never liked that recommend bar anyway."

Thanks! What did you Google?
