Trying to upgrade a 450 mhz pentium 3 to a 700 mhz pent 3. Bios has no cpu speed adjustments. IBM web page that it will only support cpu thar was delivered with machine and offers no bios updates for cpu speed. Has anyone come up with a work around for this problem ?
I plan to live forever , so far , plan is working.

My old IBM 300pl had jumpers on the board and instruction under the cover. I went from a P-II 350 to a P-III 450.
