Okay, I'm actually fed up with Windows Media Player 12's tagging system and such, and I want to go back to WMP 11. The only issue? I have Windows 7 Home Premium x64, and the ported installer and guide doesn't work. I've tried changing the version in the registry, but I've had no luck.

Any ideas?
!@#$ this! I'm getting Windows 7, and if that doesn't work, a Mac!

Tried the XP compatability mode and a copy of WMP 11?

You asked for ideas, I don't have Win 7. Just the idea.

Worth A Look

Discussion Re WMP 11 for Win 7

...and no one has to use WMP just because it's part of the initial issue...many users employ alternate players.

Winamp is still pretty popular, and it runs great on my win7 machine. Although I will say, wmp is still much better on win7 than iTunes.
