I am running windows vista 32 bit home edition. I also AVG 9 for my antivirus software, malwarebytes installed, and superantispyware installed. Superantispyware is setup to download and install definition updates. But it won't, I keep getting an error message that I should check my firewall settings to allow update.exe and it is, along with the every portion of the program. I can go to the superantispyware website and manually download the definitions, and after they are installed I close the program and reopen it and the new definitions are not showing up. I have also uninstalled the program and renstalled it, then tried to download the updates but this puts me back to square one again. There might be something hanging around in my registry that is keeping from being able to update the definitions automatically. Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a fix for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Free SAS has to be updated manually, the Paid version has automatic updating.

What my problem is when I try to update I get an error message that says. "There was an error trying to retrieve definitions. Make sure your firewall is not blocking SUPERANTISPYWARE.EXE from accessing the internet.

I fixed the problem, I had to go into internet explorer's tools, internet options, connections, LAN settings, Advanced Tab, exceptions and add *.superantispyware.com after doing this I was able to update my definitions Yahoo

You should also go into SAS settings and uncheck Startup with Boot. It's not realtime protection so you don't need it starting up.
