Greetings, my excellent friends! I'm Roswell.1701 and I'm an aspiring writer/producer. This is the year I finally turned in my film reels and tape splicers for a state-of-the-art digital production medium. I'm giving away my age a little but when I learned to use a computer DOS was the operating system and all programs stood alone. My interest in computers is not so much in the machine itself but what I can do with it. Unfortunately, I'm discovering that in order to use the machine effectively and creatively, I need more indepth knowledge of the computer itself. That's why I'm here. Truethfully, I'd rather cut my own throat from ear to ear with a rusty butterknife, rather than hang out on a Windows forum. The people are so stuffy and take themselves far too serieously for me. But this site seems really laid back, and I think I can learn alot here. And I feel I can contribute in return. I'd love to blog about topics relating to creative aspects of the digital medium, as well as it's relationship to the human condition. If any of you would be interested in that kind of analysis and discussion, please let me know. In the mean time, I'll just be snooping around the site trying to learn what I can. So long for now and thanks for reading...
It's all in the mind.
