Thanks Jaspossum. Nice job!

For more information on installing the new version, please see this thead:
http://forums.net-integration.net/index.php?showtopic=15073

It is recommended that the new version be downloaded from the following links, in this order. The first two are direct downloads--i.e., when you click the link you will begin the download process. Please download only from one of these official sites. If you Google for Spybot Search & Destroy, you may wind up with an imitation that requires payment for spyware removal. The real Spybot S&D can be had for free--donations are voluntary.

Additional sites will be added as they become available & until the official home sites of SSD become consistently workable. At present work is being done on their servers & everyone wanting to download the new version at the same time may cause traffic issues. If you have problems with any of these links, try the next one.

Until we've had a chance to test the new version & possibly revise our SSD tutorial, any support issues should be posted at SSD's official support forum at Net-Integration. This sub-forum is for final release support of v 1.2 & 1.3 only:

For betas, all versions & FAQ's, see the main support forum:

Recommendations and what you should know, from the N-I announcement by Brent:

Note during install. It's recommended that if you've been using 1.3 RC's to uninstall them first. If you've been holding out with 1.2, You can safely upgrade (Install over) the old version. Meshes together perfectly. Also, BE SURE YOU REBOOT after install to prevent errors related to "User Abort".

This is pinned, at least temporarily and will try to keep it updated. Anyone with any pertinent information, other official download links, or to report broken links, please post it here.

To keep up with the latest revisions and other program updates, especially security related, we recommend visiting Calendar Of Updates regularly.

In early tests, I give this two thumbs up as a tool to help with Internet privacy. It can also help with performance drags on your system by removing these malicious agents from Windows and IE.

It's a little more automated (bloated) than prior versions at 4MB. I didn't install additional languages or skins or even the SDHELPER for IE (as I use Opera 7.50 which was also released this week and Mozilla Firefox predominantly).

I like the new Windows Registry Backup feature before every run and immunization feature that permanently safeguards against 1500 malicious agents. A monthly run is recommended (after checking for new updates) to enhance your Internet privacy and performance.

Just downloaded and ran SpyBot 1.3 Final Version. Awesome!!
It found 69 problems which Version 1.2 didn't. Going to reboot now and see what happens. I got alot of spyware from my daughters surfing the net. It even labeled Travelocity (3 items) as spyware. Scary stuff.
