Alright, I've been fighting with this one for a couple of days and haven't found a solution yet.

Some (But not all) google links are redirected to advertisement sites. Other tabs pop up occasionally with similar sites. I am unable to reach windows update sites. My background has been reset and I can't change it. I can't see my hidden files, even if I click to view them. If I do, it hides the contents of the folder.
Occasionally, firefox will stop responding, even though my wireless internet is still connected. Sometimes when this happens, I can reconnect to the wireless and then firefox, but other times, the computer freezes.

I've got so much anti-spyware on my computer that it's probably causing more of a problem than helping. Let me know if there is anything I can do to get my computer back to normal.

Oh, and I'm running Windows XP home on a Compaq Presario desktop computer.
