Hi..

I'm trying to format a acer laptop but I can't..

However the laptop doesn't want to detect the disk when I turned on the computer..

I already change the boot priority..I make the dvd rom is the first boot device but the laptop won't read the disk at the start up..

The laptop will only run the disk after the dekstop appear..

Hope anyone can help me..plz..thanks..

Hi

We really need to know what you are wanting to do.

Acer laptops usually have a C:drive containing the Operating System, a D:Drive of the same size for data, and a hidden partition containing the means to restore your C:Drive back to factory new condition by pressing (I think) ALT + F11.

As I say, we need to know what you are trying to do.

Are you positive the CD/DVD is a bootable one? Is the CD/DVD an actual Windows disk or a manufacturers restore disk?

It sounds like you need to make the ROM drive bootable in the BIOS or rather change the boot order so the ROM drive boots before the Hard Drive.

I'm not sure..

But I can't find any "bootable" word from the cd case..

Do you think that I'm wrongly bought the cd?

So that mean I can't format the laptop because of the cd right?
