I am computer illiterate so please bear with me. I am running Window 7 Home Premium. Just installed HP 1270i dvd Writer with lightscribe in the expansion port under the factory cd/dvd drive. Drive works great for reading from and burning media to the new drive but, the drive is not recognized as a lightscribe drive and therefore, I cannot burn lightscribe labels to it. I have been everywhere looking for help. I hope I can find it here. I only have a few days to figure this out before my opportunity to return the drive to the store expires. I would like to fix this as I am unsure buying a different lightscribe will actually work either!
