I hate google with a passion, so I never installed it. I have the same cusror vanishing act thing going on except i can see the frozen cursor where i left it, but at random the cursor would freeze in place and another "invisible" cursor is available and I can use it like normal. I turned on the feature where i can find it using the ctrl key but its annoying having to do things while constantly tapping ctrl! little help?

I would not think that Google would cause this issue

Have you checked to see if the mouse pointer scheme is set to Windows default and not changed to something else?
Control panel - mouse - pointers - scheme
In the beginning there was the command line.
