first off i am using windows xp and my mp3 is a walkman. im not very computer smart so im not sure what info to put really. ..

I used to be able to connect my mp3 to my laptop and it would automatically pop up a menu with options on how what to do with it. It would say something like removable disk (F:). The options would be: copy disk using sonic record now, add files using sonic record now, play using windows media player, open to view files using windows explorer, and take no action. Now when I plug it in, it is opened by MTP player and only has 2 options: Syncronize media files to this device using windows media player and take no action.
I dont have windows explorer anymore but when I plug my phone in to my laptop, it still opens using the removable disk (G:) menu.
I think I must have taken something off that I needed when I was trying to figure out why my sound wasnt working. Turns out that my sound device wasn't up to date .... at least thats what I think. I went online to windows updates and updated what it said I needed and then the sound started working again but now my mp3 menu is messed up.

I guess my question is how do I get the old menu back? Has anyone else had this problem?
I went back and reread this to make sure it made sense.... Maybe somebody can help me
