Start-up Problem. I get a message C:\\WINDOWS\system32\install\server.exe Restart

This message appears just before icons and the tool-bar pop up onscreen
I can bring-up windows task manager, which shows that "personalized settings" is running, and if I go to 'new tasks' and select FireFox (my internet browser) the computer continues to star-up as it's supposed too, and the message disappears.

This message didn't appear until I tried to uninstall my antiviral/spy-ware program, which was CA. (only uninstalled it because I couldn't afford the renewal license at the time.)

So can do you think you can help?????

SO.... not too waste your time I have discovered a fix for this problem, that works for now. However if you think I should still try the solution you have too offer lay it on me smile.gif

P.S. I have not installed or uninstalled any new programs other than a anti-virus program, which has been overdue ;)

There's no straight solution to a problem so I'm not going to say I have one but if you say you have the solution then have you implemented it?

If so, how is the PC running now?

Also, if you still want me to take a look after you've implemented it I would need new DDS and Gmer logs. smile.gif

Yes I have implemented the solution and so far it works great.

No more 'start-up' errors or messages.

Thanks for the offer to look but my motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

And just to let you know I found my solution through Bleeping Computers.

So if not directly thanks to you. Thank you anyway smile.gif

That doesn't matter, as long as it's fixed the problem thumbup2.gif
