Hi my daughter uses my laptop for recording her singing but recently is having problems on playback with crackling noises etc, we have been advised it is probably due to space on the computer or something and advised to change all our current security and replace it with one I will post below......

Security I currenly have

Zonealarm free firewall
Avg free
spybot s&d
spyware blaster

I was kindly helped by people like yourselves a good few years back who advised me to get all those programs and am now very comfortable using all the above programs but I am now being told to remove all those and they have given me this link to replace them with

Is this advisable? as its very time consuming to download and run the ones I already have, I would rather know if its worth my time before I go ahead and do as they say.

I Thank you immensely for any help

I don't know what exactly that link is, but I think you are fine with what you have. Personally, I do not like AVG (prefer Avast), but that's just my opinion.

You might consider adding the free versions of Malwarebytes' and SUPERAntiSypware. They are currently the best on-demand scanners out there.

If possible I would get a bigger hard drive. I don't how a security set up like you have or any security system would cause a crackling noises. to Bleeping Computer.
