What is everyone's favorite web browser? I use Firefox and sometimes Internet explorer (mostly because I'm in the process of trying to get my school to deploy Firefox)... I absolutely hate IE but that is for different topic...

I think Opera takes browsing to another level.
Firefox is also very good.
IE however, should stop being forced onto every new PC with windows. Its by far the worst browser.

I use IE8 all the time; I actually like MS products - Firefox is a resources hog.

The pendulum forever swings back and forth as to which browser has the best security.

I know no one that uses it anymore.

Well, now you know one person who does.

i use firefox mainly on both win and mac. safari on mac and chrome, opera on win looks kind of nice with their thumbnailed history pages, but being old school, text addresses or links are fine with me.
i left IE 6 for the security of firefox and just never looked back at IE 7 or 8

Same thing here caperdog, plus firefox is a heck of a lot easier to use and loads pages faster and has better security.

Do not forget that a browser is as safe as its user

I am using Google Chrome since it came out, am browsing a lot and never got infected...

Before that I used Firefox and was less computer/security savvy and I ended up with a computer so badly infected that a reformat was my only option.

regards, Elise
