I have an HP PSC 1510 printer plugged into a desktop with windows xp. I am trying to share the printer with my new HP G71-340US notebook. I have the xp machine set up to share the printer and both workgroups have the same name but the notebook cant find the printer. Both have McAfee firewalls and am not sure if that is an issue. I did disable the firewall on the xp machine but that didnt help. Help please. Thanks

Is your laptop set up for sharing as well does your desktop appear in network? If so click on it and log on with admin details of desktop.
