Very recently this computer started going haywire. I run Avira scans and keep the guard program updated and active. However, the last few days the Avira scan gets stuck

So, tried downloading and running Trend Micro HouseCall with the following result:

"An internal error has prevented HouseCall from opening. Do you want to visit the HouseCall Web site to get the latest version and try again? (E:1063047195:0)

Had already downloaded the latest version so tried to run HouseCall directly from their web site: same error.

Punted ... ran HiJackThis and created a log file that I can attach when requested to do so.

BTW, Avira scan seems to hang at this file: "c:\WINDOWS\System32\ZoomingHook.exe" which shows up in the HJT log as "O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ZoomingHook] c:\WINDOWS\System32\ZoomingHook.exe"

Looking forward to your response.

Create a new topic and post the log here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.

Let me know if that went well.
