Icon mess

hi
i have a problem (that's why I'm here)
when i want to change gif's, mp3's, movie's or wave's icon, the same icon is set for all these extensions
whichever of these 4 extensions icon i change, the icon is applied to all 4
here is a pic

my PC made me so many problems that i am almost an expert in solving nonsense and stupid problems but this thing is f***ed up

It would be interesting...to know the steps you take..in your attempts to change the icons representative of each file type.

hi hamluis
again u are saving my pc
i click on change on any of these 4 (gif image; mp3 music; movie; wave sound) extensions and when i change an icon for one on them it changes for all of them (gif image; mp3 music; movie; wave sound)

If I wanted toi change the icon representing any type of file, I would follow the instructions at Change The Icon For All Files Of A Certain Type at http://www.ofzenandcomputing.com/zanswers/142.

ok
i've solved it
the problem source was... Total video Converter and Total Video Player from E.M. Soft
after installing it (they come together) i saw that all video and music extensions are assigned to it
i wasn't a big problem but this icon mess was
now gif image; mp3 music; movie; wave sound icons change normally
topic can be closed
