Yesterday when I went to play one of my ps2 games it wouldn't load. Whe I put the disk in it started to spin around and make a funny noise. Even if you let the disc sit in there for about 30 seconds it would still make the strange sound and the game wouldn't load. I have tried mostly all of my games and they all won't load. When I waited about 30 seconds the red screen came up saying "please insert ps2 disc". Does anyone know a way I could fix this problem? Thank You in advance for any help!

Good news, bad news.
Your PS2 might just need a good lens cleaning, because the head is dirty.
Your PS2 might need to have its reading head re-aligned at a repair shop.

It is likely that the laser is misaligned from overuse. I got the same error and was just about to get another one when I placed the entire PS2 on its side. For some reason, it takes the weight of the laser track, and it has played every game since then.

Sadly, I can not get the same result from my wife. I place her on her side, and she just goes to sleep, and stops working lol
