i installed fresh copy of windows 98 when the pc booted up the screen was small with black edge around not full size of monitor what do i do

Press the Fn and T keys simultaneously. That should fix this. Fn + T toggles the display between stretching the image to fit the panel and displaying the image at the selected resolution. Also make sure you have all the proper drivers for your system installed...missing graphics drivers could be causing the system to run at a lower than standard screen resolution.

Steps to follow:

1. Boot up
2. Download & Install this
3. Reboot your computer

If required, enter the 'Display Properties' section and manually adjust the screen resolution.
