Hello, Here several days ago, if I was getting into my Yahoo email, I started getting a Windows Error Msg with the SEND-DON"T SEND buttons, sometimes I sent, sometimes not. I'm trying to pin point the problem and not getting anywhere, thought someone else may have had the same problem. If I do the 'click here' for the error report within the WEM window, at the top it lists the msvcr80.dll file and then click on the link for the entire log file, it has about 60+ dll files in the list. I was in Help and Support for Windows from the start button and found the error log (can't find it now) which I copied to notepad. The errors start about the time I installed Runtime Visual C++ Redistributable program, I have since uninstalled it, and still having the same problem. Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks for your time.
I'm using Firefox 3.6.3 and have tried IE, but with the same result.

Please download VEW and save it to your Desktop: http://images.malwareremoval.com/vino/VEW.exe

Double-click VEW.exe then under Select log to query, select:
Application
System

Under Select type to list, select:
Critical (Vista only)
Error

Click the radio button for Number of events
Type 20 in the 1 to 20 box
Then click the Run button.
Notepad will open with the output log.

In Notepad, click Edit > Select all then Edit > Copy
Reply to this post, click in the reply window and press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste the log.

Thanks Broni, After I posted the problem, I started Firefox in Safe Mode and got into my Yahoo email with no problems. Unless you see something in the log from VEW, I think one of my Plugins is causing the problem and I'm going to enable them one at a time and see what happens.Vino's Event Viewer v01c run on Windows XP in English

I think one of my Plugins is causing the problem

Possible. Let's check this first.

Close Firefox. Go Start>All Programs>Mozilla Firefox, click on Mozilla Firefox (safe mode). Same thing?

Yikes, Not quite sure what is going on. No....when I use Firefox in Safe Mode, I don't have any problems getting into Yahoo email but.........I noticed something new this morning. I was working in my MSMoney file and something has changed the date format, right along with the date format in Add/Remove Programs. It's changed from mo/dd/yyyy to dd/mo/yyyy and I can't change it back. I also can't use Super AntiSpyware. When I open it, it will go to the task bar, but I can't open the User Interface to start a scan. I think I should head on over the Malware Removal and start there. This is not a good week for these kinds of troubles.
Thanks, Linda

Hello,

Now that you have posted a log here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/320793/virus-check-logs-please/ you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a MRT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the MRT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the MRT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the MRT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

Please be patient. It may take several days to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible. I advise checking your topic once a day for responses as the e-mail notification system is unreliable.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. Good luck with your log.

Orange Blossom
Help us help you. If HelpBot replies, you MUST follow step 1 in its reply so we know you need help.
