I am a very basic home PC user. I finally installed some antivirus software on our home PC after we bought it for a new lap top. It is Defender Pro 2010 15-n-1. After running the initial scan it found 13 issues and was able to "clean" or "disinfect" them all except one---It was listed as: trojan.packed.Hiloti.gen.1 Basically D-Pro said it was not equipped to get rid of this particular trojan.

I have no idea where to go from here. Not extremely familiar with PC issues like this.

In the past, I was able to get rid of some sort of virus (Security Tools virus) from reading posts here so I can navigate and figure out a bit. But, by most of your standards and users here, I probably would be considered to have very remedial skills!

Any help would be appreciated.

All I have done since then is an update on D-Pro. Will run another scan tonight.
The computer is running better since the first scan, but it still locks up at times and/or loads pages very slowly. Not even sure what I should be worried about with this virus.

Using Windows XP with a wireless connection through Verizon.

Thanks.
