Hi, I have a Blackberry Curve 8310. It is brand new, maybe a month old. One morning the hourglass appeared and stayed for hours. And when it would go away, Id click one button and then it would appear again, as if it took so much power to do one task. When I go into my bbm, and click on a contact, it will go in then go out. When I get a call, it half rings then goes straight to Missed Call. So basically I can only make calls, cant receive them. And when I call someone it automatically goes to speaker and then five seconds later goes off speaker. Basically the hourglass has taken over! Yesterday morning, it went back to normal. Hardly any hourglass activitiy And this morning its back to the same problem. So I am wondering if this is just a defected phone, or is there something I can do to fix it? Thanks

Have you tried a 'battery pull' reset?

If it's as new as you state I'd return it and have it evaluated while it's still under warranty. Sounds like a corrupt OS. Make sure you back up and save all your contacts and documents and files to you Blackberry Desktop Manager.
