Hi there. I'm new to the forum seeing answers for a Tidserv intrusion. Luckily, my internet security has been blocking it for me. I need to fix it, so I look forward to seeing hoe BleepingComputer works out. Neat service.

My Question:

I have an IT friend that I asked about the HTTP Tidserv Request virus. He didn't know about it, and said he hasn't used a PC in YEARS. Made me think, "Is a Mac really that much better?... I mean, this is the second time that I had had to do extensive work to clean up a PC because of a virus."... What am I doing wrong? Should I get a Mac for my next desktop? Perhaps these are just rhetorical questions that don't need answers. But if you'd like to chime in, please do

Thanks, Have a good day-

Hi HokieEd  to BC, :flowers:

The mac is much less vulnerable to viruses but still can get them look here to see more: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/286184/imac-spyware/ this will give you some idea of malware on a mac which does not happen often. :trumpet:
