Hi ,

I am balaji and looking foward to exchange tech info especially for home pc problems. I think i have joined the right forum to provide/get right solutions for pc related problems.

Can anyone give info about the which sound file is played during login time. My pc stopped giving boot-time login sound which it used to give. I tried loading relevant driver also. Otherwise it produces normal sound on other occasions.

Is it attributed to file corruption or any virus threat. I am using XP Home on HP pavilion.

Welcome to BC!
Go to your control panel and look for "Sounds and Multimedia" and see what is set for "start Windows."
