I have been in communication with your colleagues on the "Am I infected forum" Topic referenced is here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/317945/win32patched/ ~ OB regarding a persistant infection on opening programmes on my PC. On opening a programme or starting the home PC (Windows XP) I am getting a pop up message that AVG has identified this virus in Windows\System 32\ws2_32.dll - Detected on Open . It disappears after a few seconds and doesn't try to download anything. Running AVG identifies it but says it is whitelisted and should not be deleted as it is attached to a Windows component. Malaware Bytes malaware does identify it and asks if you want to delete but then says you have to restart the PC to remove the final part and when you do that it starts the pop ups again.

They then asked me to run SuperAntiSpyware and submit the updated Malaware log and the SAS log. I was then asked to run TFC and Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner and submit those logs. I have now been asked to refer this to you with the DDS logs attached.

I look forward to hearing from you.
