I am Joe and probably live up to my name as far as computer use/experience for someone my age is concerned...average. I'm 53 and use an old Optiplex GX240 (from which I write) to research everything from food recipes to truck repair to billing for our Estate Services company. My wife, Kim, and I also do some on-line bookselling and use our desktop and a Dell 5150 laptop to this end. We live in the Southeasterly reaches of the Allegheny mountains in Southwest Virginia where we enjoy beautiful scenery and a slow-paced lifestyle and an even slower internet connection: DIAL-UP ! We live at the base of several large mountains and cannot even access satellite. Oh well , we somehow have managed to have our trusty desktop infected with something malicious and so will soon be posting in the Malware Removal Forum. After this problem is (hopefully) corrected , we hope to participate in your community to become more knowledgeable/savvy computer users . Wish us luck !

Hello Joe and  to Bleeping Computer.

Please take a few moments to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the forum works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There is a lot of very useful information there.

Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight.

I am a Bleeping Computer fan! Are you?
