how to down-grade to xp??

Hi i want to down-grade my xp but when i put xp cd and then the set-up thing appears its grey-ed out i also try putting the cd when installing it when it restart " press any key to boot" i get a blue screen of death.

my model is hp hp-pavilion-elite-e9120f

i was wondering if its possible to install windows 95 or 98.

The only way to "downgrade" from any version of Windows...is to have both a valid license and a valid means of installing XP.

I correct that...I believe that some OEMs (HP, etc.) provide "downgrade" capabilities on some of the systems they have sold...but I'm not sure.

Specs for Your System

As I look at the specs for that system, it doesn't indicate that Win 7 was originally installed.

As for installing Win 95 or Win 98...you can install either/both, as long as you have a valid CD and license/key.
