When I try to uninstall MSN 7.0 I get the following message:

"This patch could not be opened. Verify that the patch exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that it is a valid Windows Installer patch package."

This comes up when I try uninstalling Yahoo messenger:

"WISE UNINSTALL Could not open INSTALL.LOG file."

those messages come up every time I use add/remove programs. Any suggestions?

 to BC Bree
Were you trying to uninstall with the Windows uninstaller or use the programs uninstaller? You could also use cCleaner to try and uninstall.
