The past couple of weeks my AVG e-mail scanner has quit working. ( AVG free ). I use Thunderbird as my default e-mail program. It has worked fine for the past 4-5 months, but recently i get the message that AVG e-mail scanner is not fully functional.
Ihave even gone so far as to uninstall/reinstall AVG twice, but the e-mail scan only lasts breifly, then goes away again.

I am being very careful to only open e-mails that i trust - but the scanner should be working. any ideas? - thanks, Keith

I had a similar problem a while back and can't remember what the fix was however, I found the answer in the AVG Free Forum.
Cheers
