Hi,

I have recently reformatted my hard disk and reinstalled windows from scratch. Now I'm wanting to make a few tweaks to my system to better help me track computer usage. I am trying to eliminate the possibility of "accidental" porn being viewed on my computer--AND make sure my "back door" is hack proof and no remote access is being used (invited or not). I would also like a way to view files or logs and see what sites and programs are being run by other users of my computer.

I'm using AVAST! anti-virus and MALWARE BYTES anti malware.

What windows and DOS options/commands can I use to make the following changes:

save deleted files longer (and be able to view video/image files)
allow more room for larger file storage (so temp files stick around longer)
keep history from being able to be deleted (possible?)
find out if the computer is being launched from DOS mode or Windows Safe mode
find out when "private" or "incognito" mode is used
find out if file shredder software (or other "privacy"--aka porn viewing hiding) software is installed on my computer

Yeah, trust issues....

thanks!

And yet we meet again... :flowers:

How's it goin'?

You might consider Family Safety from Microsoft. It is very effective at blocking "risky" websites and it even reports what has been blocked.

But, I still think your best plan of action is to keep a password on your computer's account and not let anybody else use your computer (don't tell anybody your password or leave your computer logged in when it's unattended).
