Hi there. I have some issues with my laptop that is running Windows XP. I'm getting a BSOD with stop error 0x00000007 when trying to boot to safe mode, and 0x000000d1 intermittently that locks up the computer at random intervals when logged into XP. As the title states, there are random porn links showing up on my desktop and I have some bogus program called Data Protection in my systray that constantly tells me I am infected and that it is unregistered. In addition, my WiFi seems to be blocked out.

Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome... You need to do all the steps.
Please follow our Removal Guide here Remove Data Protection (Uninstall Guide)

You will move to the Automated Removal Instructions

After you completed that, post your scan log here, let me know how things are.
The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.
