cannot connect to Internet explorer

My wireless radio is on and working, I am able to ping my wireless router. But, can not access internet explorer or any website. Also, with another laptop was able to download new driver for my wireless adapter device, can not donnect to internet explorer. Need help? Any advise?

Can you install Firefox (download it using the working computer) and see if you can access the internet with it?

If not, then it's a networking problem, not a browser problem.
