Hi!

I'm having a weird problem.

Yesterday, my PC (XP Pro SP3) has been infected by the Fake NetSky, and started changing the desktop background and requesting the purchase of I don't know what AntiVirus software.

That's been eradicated using Hijackthis and does not do that anymore, by following the guide on the McAfee website. Good.

There is another weird problem... When I do a search on Google, I can see that, when I hover over the title of the result, the link on the status bar is correct, but when I click it, I get redirected to some ad pages.

Anyone has an idea of what's going on?

Thank you!

Piero
