I was just told there are knobs on the motherboard you have to turn for certain reasons. Would i get the instructions on how to do that when i receive the motherboard or is this something i have to learn by error.

What motherboard are we talking about? im not familiar with any motherboards with knobs. Some have jumper settings. What is the brand and type of motherboard you are talking about?

I've never heard of knobs on motherboards, only jumpers and switches. Very old boards from the mainframe days may have had them, but nothing more recent.

ya, I don't see any knobs, just follow the installation instructions in the manual, and everything should be fairly straight forward. It should come with the board, or you can download it here
