Hi,
I just joined the group based on a yahoo search on the topic. So I am new to the group and find all of the stuff that you talk about of interest. But to what brought me here...

I came across this dialog box on start up indicating if I would like to execute this program from an untrusted author. (So at least I have some level of effective protection.) I have not clicked on OK to start and have gotten around it by hitting cancel.

I would like to get rid of this bugga!

I reviewed another entry and found a long dialog of commands and such but don't understand the first thing about what went on. Can you help me?

I forgot to mention that I have scan my computer with Aluria and the beta version of the MS Spy wares. I also did a virus scan with Norton.

You have been cautious, and correctly so.
Precisely when does this dialogue box pop up, and what is the EXACT message you are getting?

John

lockx.exe is added by the W32/Sdbot-ADD worm. See lockx.exe file information. You should probably post a HijackThis log here
I finally got it all together, now if I could just remember where I put it.

A simpler and faster method would be to follow the link at the database to the BC tutorial on removing this kind of malware:
