I don't understand what's happening. I got a spyware called Antispy soft and I immediately recognized it as a virus and removed it using Norton. This malware pretended to be a legitimate antivirus software and somehow prevented me from using google chrome, gmail notifier, and google desktops. Now it's removed, I still cannot connect to those applications, I can connect to the Internet and google fine on Firefox, and I have not set my Firewall to block google or anything. Any time I use these google applications, they say things like "unable to connect" "web page cannot be displayed"

What's going on? I really would appreciate any help or insight.
Thank you
