I'm trying to get a friend's Hotmail account back after she mistakenly deleted her sign-on button and can't now remember the password. I'm now the "contact" e-mail designated within the recovery process. I've tried the whole process twice now and nothing seems to result from it, other than being able to sign (with a PIN) into a forum page which contains the validation form I filled in at the start.

More than 48 hours has elapsed with no e-mail sent to the designated address or any comment in the forum page. At the top of the forum page there is the statement: "Please complete or cancel the recovery process." I cannot see what I'm supposed to do to "complete" the process - any ideas? Has anyone successfully done this who could help me, please?

TIA!
