I've been messing with the computer and I think I got rid of some junk. I wanted to update this thread so that you have the most accurate info. I had something called wwwzuc32 that was clogging up my svchost and taking all my computer resources. I was able to zap that and have my pc back. Currently all virus scans and malwarebytes scans are clean. Currently the only issue I'm having is a nagging Explorer redirect (usually to Blinx). Please see new logs. Thanks.

If the PC is now clean then the redirects are just the remnant of the attack.

Please run the following which will stop the redirects. If it doesn't then we need to take another look.
  • Open Control Panel and navigate to "Network and Internet Connections"
  • Then click Network and Internet Connections
  • Now select your active Internet connection and right click on it. Suppose if you are using wireless connection right click on "Wireless Network Connection"
  • Select the TCP/IP service in the list and then click properties
  • Change DNS to "Obtain DNS server automatically

Then

Please download HostsXpert 4.3
  • Extract (unzip) HostsXpert.zip to a permanent folder on your hard drive such as C:\HostsXpert
  • Double-click HostsXpert.exe to run the program.
  • Click "Restore MS Hosts File".
  • Click OK at the confirmation box.
  • Click "Make Read Only".
  • Click the X to exit the program.
-- Note: If you were using a custom Hosts file you will need to replace any of those entries yourself.

Finally

Please open the command prompt:
Start > Run > type cmd and then OK. Then type the following, into the black window:
CODE
ipconfig /flushdns

Then tap the enter button on your keyboard.
You should see the following confirmation:
QUOTE
Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

Let me know if that works.

Negitive. Still redirects. What really bothers me about the redirect (other than the obvious) is the site that it's sending me to often has a virus. My scanner catches it but it's still not fun and leaves me uneasy. Thanks for helping. Next?

Next we run something which will remove the malware which is causing the redirects

Please download ComboFix from one of these locations:* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop making sure you rename it comfix.exe
  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. (Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive.)
  • Double click on Comfix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Run Combofix again with the following method.

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

QUOTE
File::
c:\windows\system32\drivers\jtbv.sys
c:\windows\system32\drivers\eavvgvei.sys
c:\windows\system32\deba.sys

Driver::
wlirx
eavvgvei
deba

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

Still finding things in the logs... mad.gif

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

QUOTE
File::
c:\windows\system32\dosxuery.dll

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\control\session manager\appcertdlls]

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

Please run System Look as below

Hi,

I have not had a reply from you for 3 days. Can you please tell me if you still need help with your computer as I am unable to help other members with their problems while I have your topic still open. The time taken between posts can also change the situation with your PC making it more difficult to help you.

If you like you can PM me.

Thanks,

m0le
