Hello all,
I am facing a problem like, my friend's lap was running on XP before and I have upgraded it to Win 7. He had a lot og contacts and he saved them all as a file with wab extension. Now I want to add these contacts back to the microsoft outlook 2003 address book. I have tried double clicking the file. then all the contacts will be extracted to the windows contacts folder. I can see these contacts in the contacts folder under the user, but I want them back in Outlook. I hope the problem is clear. I tried to google it but am not reaching anywhere. Hope I will get some tips

Thanks

yes I have tried to import the WAB file from the outlook, but its not working. It will show the progress bar importing, but the final message shows "0" contacts have been added to the address book. any other options dude..? n thankyou for your suggestion.

You might try the second method first if possible, as the first method doesn't really make sense to me--but then I don't use Outlook or Windows 7. But reading your posts the first thing that occured to me is that you should try exporting contacts to a CSV file (instead of .wab) first and then import into Outlook. Another set of instructions for doing that is here--it's for Vista but the method should be pretty much the same:
