Hello there i've been having problems so i'm really hoping someone can help. Right well it started about a week ago, everything was fine then i boot my computer up one morning & i notice that my Hard Drive space was dissapearing in chunks. It would get to the stage where i started off with 4 gig of space to nothing! I get the no disc space message. When i am on my computer page i right click & refresh the space will drop 100 mb at a time or even more! Anyway about a couple of days later i switched on the computer only to be greeted by a rogue virus scanner that left my computer missing a taskbar or start menu which i managed to get rid of & get my desktop & start menu back. But am still left with the annoying disk space vanishing problem! I cannot do anything with my comp in normal mode so have to do everything in safe mode which is no good as i do not have any audio in safe mode & cannot use my music production programs. I have ran various programs including Avast!, Spybot, Ad-Ware, Super Anti Spyware & Malwarebytes which have all removed certain viruses & spyware (sorry i don't have details of these as i just got rid of & didn't think to take a note of names...sorry) but am still left with the disc space problem! I have run out of any ideas how to fix the problem & do not really want to wipe my computer so am really hoping someone can help me. Before any one might think it could have something to do with shadow storage & system restore nicking my space i set the shadow limit a while back & have turned off system restore so that is not the problem. I dont know what else to say? Oh yeah my OS Is Vista Home Premium 32 bit service pack 2. . Thank you & look forward to some assistance.
