My AVG antivirus software is giving me a warning box at start up that my computer is infected with Win32/patched.cg. However, when I go to their Website to get help, they want me to download a $129 spyware and virus removal program. Before paying such a price for a tool that may or may not help, I want to see if there is another way. I have found that you helped someone else remove this problem, but the instructions were quite lengthy and specific to that person's issue. Can you help me? Thanks. I am running Windows XP Professional.
