visual basic error

so i have windows XP laptop running microsoft office 2003 Professional and just recently when i open a word document i get a visual basic compile error: argument not optional

i have never seen or had any issue with this i already tried a repair install of MS office and a uninstall and fresh install of the MS office and it still haven't fixed the issue please help me
