Hello I own a Emachines and i was on the web a couple of hours ago. When I was on a websited that i wanted to downloand something. This is where my problems started. A Data protection popup showed that says Uncertified MSC antivirus software detected on your computer. You need to remove MSC software for correct operartion of the Data Protection. Attention: if you don't remove MSC software, the performance of your computger will dramatically degrade. Press "OK" to remove the MSC. It only allows you to click ok. The other warning signs that show up on the task bar change from Danger! A security threat detected on your computer. TrojanASPX.JS.Win32. It strongly recommended to remove this threat right now. Click on the message to remove it. Then to Danger! Unauthorized person tries to steal your passwords and private information. Click on the message to prevent identity theft. Then to Danger! Harmful viruses detected on you computer. Click on the message to scan you computer for security threats for free. Finally to Danger! Unauthosrized acess to your computer! CLick on the message to install up-to-date antivirus software. Where it then just goes back and forth and I can't close it. I am running a scan on the computer up i'm not sure if this will help I start a scan shortly after this happen and shortly after an hour of scanning the computer rebooted with out it finishing the scan. Please help.

This is known as the Data Protection virus... You'll find a shortcut and a datprot.exe on the desktop and likely some other shortcuts and exe files related to porn sites or spam etc.

You can find the removal instructions at http://www.myantispyware.com/2010/05/07/ho...l-instructions/
