Hi all,

I want to delete or remove a topic that I posted years ago? Is it possible eventhough the topic is "closed?" If I delete my account, woud that result in the removal of my topics being deleted or removed?

All nice answers are appreciated.

Hi ECG,

Only Moderators and Administrators can delete topics and posts on this forum. I think the best thing to do is send a PM to a Mod or Admin and explain your situation.

I hope this helps.

Hello ECG,

Deleting the account does not remove the topics. As for removing topics, we prefer to edit them to remove any information you don't want public.

You can send me a Private Message to let me know what you want removed. Please note that we cannot control the contents of Google Cache. Editing the topic will result in faster removal of the unwanted information than does topic deletion.

I will only add...that...whatever was posted is still in the public domain...courtesy of Google and others.

Today's posts are tomorrow's history and are captured as such.
