I have been having problems with firefox where at some sites a dozen or more new windows will pop up with ads in them. I have checked and my firefox pop up blocker is on. is there an add-on or some software package that blocks these pop ups better?

I tried that and some sites still pop stuff up. is there away to make it so only one window of firefox can be open at a time?

I use a host file that I got off a website. I can't remember which one, I rarely see advertisements of any kind. google host file

I know of no setting that would do that in but there could be an add on...google firefox add ons
