Hello,
I am a new person to the community and have not had any "virus" issues for years, but got completely over-run today by some virus/malware that will not let me do anything, even acces the internet.
I am contacting you from my old laptop which is now sitting next to the infected one.
I have used AVG 8.5 and had no issues until about 2 hours ago.

The virus pops up multiple windows that ask me to "activate my antivirus software now?" and opens Windows Explorer and then directs me to "www.sys-defender.net" to buy their software.

I can not open any software at all and I ran AVG in the "safe mode of Windows XP and it did not detect a thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to look this over.
Cordially,
Coffeeman
